You need a plan to create a life of your dreams. Whatever may be your life today, five years down the line, you want to see yourself better: financially, professionally and personally. First, you have to start working towards your long-term plans and goals. Many people have 1-year plan, 5-year plan etc. However, unfortunately, plan largely remains a plan for most of us. It is not because our plan was flawed, but because we did not execute our plans wholeheartedly.
Executing your plan need your determination and require lot of efforts on your part. By planning, you are creating your future and creating something needs your energy, imagination, and will power. If you lack in any of these, it is unlikely that you reach your goals and most likely, your plans just remains only on paper.

Let us see how we can create plans for our life. To begin with, we will stick to our 5-year plan. Let us be aware that we all have faculty of creative imagination. We gifted with imagination. In other words, anything you see around you: car, building, chair, mobile phone, TV, computer etc, have just started as an imagination. All things that we are enjoying today have just originated in the mind of someone, and perfected by others in to current existence. Interestingly, if you put your mind into anything, you can make it to materialize into our world.

Start thinking about how you want to see yourself in 5 years. It is better if you write down explicitly what you want to achieve in 5 years and let us call it a 'plan statement.' Imagine all the things that you will have and will be in 5 years in detail. Break the five-year plan into small one-year plans, as this will help you to monitor your progress. During the period, if something is not working as planned, you will need to revisit your 5-year plan and update your plan based on the insights you developed during the period.
It is important to read your plan statement everyday. Put your desire into action. Nevertheless, remember to be flexible and adaptive. Conditions may change over period and you may encounter challenges or obstacles that you did not anticipate in your plan. In that case, just revisit your plan and see where to tweak it and incorporate changes. For example, you want to have an expensive fancy car in five years, live in a beautiful home, or have own business. Vividly imagine how your house looks like complete with smallest details; for instance, its color, architecture design, and number of rooms, and furniture that adore your home etc. Just imagine everything as though you are living in it.
For brave hearted, one might want to imagine running a-million-dolor-business in 5 years time. Imagine what products or services your company will be offering to public, how many people are going to work for it, where do you locate your office etc.
Once you set your goal, do everything that helps you to get one-step closer to your dream plan. Do not ever deviate from your plan unless otherwise warranted. Every day you should live in your plan and do everything in your capacity to get to your plan. Let no obstacles, discouragement, or failures stop you. Have a clear vision of your future and you will be surprised to see stronger the vision you hold in your mind faster is the realization.
